A treatment at Byron Bay Pilates and Physiotherapy can include both Pilates-based exercise and intuitive hands-on physiotherapy when appropriate.
Your initial session of 60 minutes will include a full postural assessment and movement evaluation to identify problems, facilitate program design, and help with goal setting. Follow-up treatments may be 30 or 60 minutes with on-going progressive movement instruction to facilitate change in your body. Traditional hands-on treatment to free up restrictions, release tight joints or muscles, and ease pain and discomfort may be utilised when necessary.
Byron Bay Pilates and Physiotherapy integrates traditional Pilates with current scientific findings to create balanced muscles, improved posture and facilitate greater ease of movement. We will help you become stronger, leaner, more flexible and healthier and teach you how to replace pain, stiffness, and restricted function with comfort, flexibility, and effortless movement.
Pilates sessions can be either one on one (private) or in a small group of three clients (semi-private) per instructor. We offer Pilates with either a Physiotherapist (called 'Pilates Therapy') or Pilates with a Pilates Instructor (called ‘Pilates Session'). Pilates with a Physiotherapist may be more appropriate when acute or sub-acute conditions exist, as it can be more rehabilitation focused, whereas Pilates with a Pilates Instructor is generally more wellness focused.
Both Private and Semi-private sessions are by appointment only and all programs are all individually tailored to your needs. If you are unsure what session to book into, please contact us by phone or email.
